The Tradition
What is Rosicrucianism?
A practical philosophy of inner development, drawing on a long lineage of mystical study.
Rosicrucianism is a tradition of inner study. It does not ask its students to adopt a creed; it offers a method by which they may explore, for themselves, the laws that govern mind, body, and the wider cosmos.
The name combines the symbol of the rose — the soul unfolding through experience — with the cross of physical existence. Together, the emblem describes the human journey of awakening within the conditions of ordinary life.
The path is gradual. Students receive monographs each month, each presenting a principle and a corresponding practice. Through patient work, the student comes to verify the teachings in their own experience.
